In todays lecture the German architect Benedikt Hartl presents his Opposite Office. The young practice from Munich, founded in 2017 by architect and activist Benedikt Hartl, acts as a platform for actively researching the influence of architecture in the socio-political spheres. Benedikt Hartl's projects explore the complex relationship between architecture and socio-political emancipation processes. In recent years, his work has gained widespread recognition. He exhibits and lectures at the national and international level. The politically and socially engaged practice of the Opposite Office contributes to the global issues and challenges of society. One of the projects Benedikt tells us about is the Affordable Palace, which represents the metaphor of the global housing crisis through the vision of the transformation of Buckingham Palace into social housing.
