With limited resources and a very limited budget, a post-war apartment building is being converted. With just a few modifications, a building slated for demolition is being transformed into a modern, open-plan living space. The uninsulated building is being renovated for energy efficiency and given a new, contemporary facade made of blackboard cladding. The small, individual apartments are being radically remodeled, with gutting and a cost-effective complete renovation. Each apartment will receive a panoramic window spanning the entire building's depth and floor-to-ceiling doors.
